We created a tool to measure pupillary distance at home. A professional optical tool in your pocket. No credit-card or ruler needed for measurements!

Use it to measure your PD and order glasses online.

The application is free for now, so get it and try it for free while you can! Pricing will be introduced at a later date.

What makes it special?
Only you, your device and a mirror is needed. We are taking care of the rest. No holding rulers or credit card to your forehead.

Easy To Use
You just need to stand in front of a mirror and take a selfie. Adjust the markers to get your pupillary distance.

Runs on iDevices
The application runs on any new iDevice (iPhones and iPads).

Best precision on the App Store
The precision of the measurements are below 1,5% error! Thats the same as the optical standard!

What is pupillary distance?
Pupillary distance is one of the main attributes needed for sunglasses/prescription glasses. The correct lens shape and alignment can be determined from your pupillary distance.

How is it measured?
Traditionally, you need to visit your optician to get your PD measurement. The measurement is usually made with a millimetre ruler (PD stick). The optician puts the ruler to the patients head and closes one eye. The optician asks the patient to look into the open eye. Then the optician lines up the ruler with the pupil. This is repeated for the other side.

Our app uses the front and rear cameras to take two photos in the same time. These are used by our cutting edge technology for measurements.

What is it used for?
The pupillary distance is mostly needed for prescription eyeglasses. It is used to position the lenses correctly in relation to the centre of the pupils. This is especially important for higher powered lenses.

What are the usual values?
55-70mm for male adults, 53-65mm for female adults, 41-55mm for children.

How does it work
By using the front and the rear camera on your device, we are able to make high precision measurements. You just stand in front of a mirror and take photo. A little adjustment and you have your pupillary distance.

Quick measurements
After taking a selfie in front of a mirror, only little interaction is needed. You need to find the device position and pupil positions. These are done automatically, but you can adjust them for better results.

High precision
By using a calibrated stereoscopic system, we achieved measurements below 1,5% error on any device. This number does not say much on its own, but thats the same error opticians work with when measuring your PD.

No hassle
Other apps need you to take a photo with your credit card (or something similar). These are hard to trust, and often error-prone. We offer a seamless experience, without any physical marker.
